Our Principles

We are a service-oriented business. We feel that we are small enough to give personalized service and to be available to our clients on a daily basis, yet large enough to provide quality service in cases where an urgent survey is needed.

A Few Words About Us

A-1 Land Surveys was founded in 1994 by Max Raffaele, the current president. The firm was established as and still is a family oriented business.

Mr. Raffaele attended the University of Florida's Building Construction Technology Program. Since then, he has attended the Civil Engineering/Land Surveying technology program at Mercer County Community College in New Jersey. Mr. Raffaele has also studied Real Estate and has passed the Real Estate sales licensure exam in both Pennsylvania and Florida. He continues to further his education and knowledge annually with continuing courses, seminars and education. Mr. Raffaele has been licensed as a professional land Surveyor since 1990. He is currently licensed and practices in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. His work experience covers many facets of the business from his early beginnings as a field crew member to working at large multi-disciplined engineering firms. Since establishing A-1 Land Surveys, he has overseen many thousands of land surveys. He has also worked and testified as an expert witness in many forensic and boundary line dispute cases in the courts, boundary line commissions, and local government municipal meetings.

The company has grown over the years since the days of just the immediate family. We now have over 75 years of combined experience at our company.
